Robert high?? Surprising I know, but here I have the excuse of just getting out of St. Joe’s (or Mike’s or Bernie’s – St. Bernard – get it) and their Emergency room.
So a week or two ago, they saw me walk in bent over double and after numerous tests, withdrawals and probes, they finally gave me a little something to ease my pain.
Something like hydrocordomorpho, or at least that’s how it sounded.
I’ve had kidney stones before, but none that caused me to unwillingly fast (not even ice would stay down)and curl up in a fetal position for a week before getting sick enough to go to Emergency. So I’m on this hydromoph stuff until the little hoodlum rocks exit. But I’ve learned to function, sorta.
So here’s my first Rant, and directed at the one province where a PCO who was licensed 30 years ago only has to pay the cost of one rat job to renew. No more training, label updates, product knowledge, nor new regulation review required.
No CEUs. For dummies that means Continuing Education Units.
so who’s to blame if some uneducated fool is still throwing place packs in drop ceilings or spraying DDVP in attics for squirrels (don’t go looking for him, he passed a few years back)
Continuing to Educate.
So the MOECC, or is it MOE again, of Ontario doesn’t see the benefit of further Education I guess.
I don’t really have to guess. It would cost too much is what we were told the last time they were asked.
It falls to the bottom, but why? No one is asking for training, are they? Like why would they welcome more cost and time trying to earn a profit.
My staff never says “hey, boss, can we have some more TDG, WHMIS or ERP training? Yippee! And throw in First Aid, CPR and Fire Chief lecture!
But we need CEUs in Ontario, like most of the rest of the country! Why? So the regional inspector from PMRA isn’t writing folks up for stupid violations? Why? Before some consumer or environmental group mandates something we can’t live with. Why? Because someone may get hurt.
sounds justified to me
